On Samsung phones with Android 7 or higher the power saving mode must be deactivated. Drag the status bar down with two fingers to show all available quick setting buttons and deactivate the power saving button.

Android Settings → Apps → 3 dots top right corner: Special access → Optimize battery usage → All Apps → Sportractive: Switch must be off
